Periscope / Meerkat
When including content on the TV for users, we have seen a number of different experiments with more or less acceptable results, but none have lasted. The medium for which they were developed, the net, is often more suited for their consumption than the TV. That is until now, with the arrival of an array of apps and systems which will enable us to transmit the same user-generated videos, but now live, in real time, with a minimal delay.
Through a gateway which, from virtually any source of video, generates a navigation menu and allows the integration of a multi-camera setting, perhaps we'll be able to enjoy upcoming broadcast of a festival or demonstration on the TV, choosing between feeds from different users who upload their videos to the web from Periscope, Meerkat, or any other on-line video-sharing app.
Because multi-camera settings are not just for broadcasting sporting events, and because there are many faces for each item of news. With Synth, you can access them all at the same time.
