CINFO will be attending the Amsterdam IBC'2017 fair

For the third year running, CINFO will have a stand in Europe's leading fair devoted to the new technologies applied to television and communications.

A Coruña, 28 July 2017.- Between 15th and 19th September CINFO will be present at its stand in the IBC fair, in Amsterdam, showcasing its flagship products: the generation of real-time video in the cloud, the IoT solutions and metadata services.

Generating real-time video on cloud servers means that TV platforms can be provided with value, by offering services such as multi-camera broadcasts or the construction of low-cost channel mosaics and which allow the number of users to be scaled up easily. In the professional setting, this technology lends itself to the construction of remote production systems and real-time system monitoring at a fraction of the cost of current systems.

Multi-camera broadcasting has received positive reviews from numerous clients and video right holders, and will be available for demos at the CINFO stand. Sports production companies in a number of countries are testing technology to offer a multi-perspective broadcast experience which is also consistent on different platforms, including tablets, smart phones, PCs and cable decoders, IPTV and HbbTV.

Our multi-camera solutions has been improved this year to reach new use cases and clients, providing low cost solutions for automatic production and publishing of events without human intervention. Using a permanent deployment of cameras and the use of several video analysis algorithms to choose automatically the right camera or zoom in/out at each moment, our platform generates a final output stream that is made available to final users through Facebook Live, Youtube or other distribution networks easily.

Other CINFO products, such advanced TV Mosaic interfaces will be available as a demo to be tested at our stand. This demo is based on the solution deployed on a real TV operator, and used as the main tool for navigation and content discovery for their clients once they turn on their STBs.

At the same time, one of the longest serving products in CINFO's portfolio, audiovisual product metadata, will also be appearing in the fair. This information provides TV users with basic or extended information on current or future broadcasts. The extension of the TV services, enabling viewers to decide the time and format in which they wish to enjoy the content, has only served to increase the importance of this type of information for the different TV platforms. The Video on Demand, Internet TV (Over The Top) and personalised recording system ranges, among others, require more extensive and complex information for deciding on the consumption of a product, either fiction (films, series) or of another type (competitions, sports, etc.).

In addition to this, Cinfo has deployed sucessfully its home automation system on two cable operators and is working with several companies to deploy IoT solutions to improve their current systems and procedures. The information and demo will be available at IBC for companies that are looking for an IoT solution.

CINFO has chosen decoration and fittings suitable for both mass demonstrations and private meetings, to accommodate all the activities scheduled for the week of the fair, to which the company will be sending a six-person team.

CINFO will be sharing its stand with other partners, providers of services which are essential in the construction of a new way of watching television: Igalia and Quobis.
