CINFO acude a la feria IBC de Amsterdam con sus soluciones de vídeo cloud y metadatos
For the second year running, CINFO will have a stand in Europe's leading fair devoted to the new technologies applied to television and communications.
A Coruña, 1 September 2016.- Between 9 and 13 September CINFO—a subsidiary of R, the Galician telecommunications operator—will be present at its stand in the IBC Fair, in Amsterdam, showcasing its flagship products: the generation of real-time video in the cloud and metadata.
Generating real-time video on cloud servers means that TV platforms can be provided with value, by offering services such as multi-camera broadcasts or the construction of low-cost channel mosaics and which allow the number of users to be scaled up easily. In the professional setting, this technology lends itself to the construction of remote production systems and real-time system monitoring at a fraction of the cost of current systems.
Multi-camera broadcasting has received positive reviews from numerous clients and video right holders, and will be available for demos at the CINFO stand. Sports production companies in a number of countries are testing technology to offer a multi-perspective broadcast experience which is also consistent on different platforms, including tablets, smart phones, PCs and cable decoders, IPTV and HbbTV.
Other CINFO products, such as the TV Mosaic generator, can also be tested at the IBC, with new options, such as improved operation for multiple 4K output and simplified interfaces with existing headends. Also on show will be the home automation systems for MSO, integrated with the TV ecosystem.
At the same time, one of the longest serving products in CINFO's portfolio, audiovisual product Meta data, will also be appearing in the fair. This information provides TV users with basic or extended information on current or future broadcasts. The extension of the TV services, enabling viewers to decide the time and format in which they wish to enjoy the content, has only served to increase the importance of this type of information for the different TV platforms. The Video on Demand, Internet TV (Over The Top) and personalised recording system ranges, among others, require more extensive and complex information for deciding on the consumption of a product, either fiction (films, series) or of another type (competitions, sports, etc.).
As part of its metadata innovation strategy, CINFO has recently become a member of the EIDR standards consortium, which will also be present at the IBC. CINFO will be taking advantage of the occasion to hold technical work and coordination meetings with its other partners.
For this edition of the fair, CINFO has tripled the size of its stand, where it will be offering five different demos on latest-generation television sets. CINFO has chosen decoration and fittings suitable for both mass demonstrations and private meetings, to accommodate all the activities scheduled for the week of the fair, to which the company will be sending a six-person team.
CINFO will be sharing its stand with other partners, providers of services which are essential in the construction of a new way of watching television: Igalia, Knox Media Hub and Quobis.
